Vigilantes in Tight's secret database gets leaked and consequently popcorn is being had in large amounts.
You by now probably already heard about the leaking of Justice League Unlimited's (JLU) secret Brainiac database/wiki some two weeks ago, but for who hasn't, I will get some links in this post to read up.
JLU is a vigilante 'policing' group that has set as goal to rid the SL grid of "griefers" and does so by roaming the grid in superhero suits and abuse reporting their fingers off, as well as keeping a secret database with personal information, both SL and RL related, of tagged griefers and 'dangerous' groups (which got leaked).
I think the leaked docs were first published in parts on Prokofy Neva's blog; a post which eventually got taken down by Typepad after a takedown notice initiated by JLU. That post has been republished now on Joanna Falmers blog, here. (I also might republish Prokofy's post in this thread later on.)
Some other reports around the leaking and subsequent drama: the Alphaville Herald (formerly known as SecondLifeHerald) reporting on the leak and touching on the close, dubious relations of JLU with the overnance Team of LL and discussion on the SLUniverse forums.
If you want to check the leaked Brainiac database, you will find that the links within the SLHerald article towards filesharing sites that contained the file are now all dead, so the JLU succeeded there at least in getting the files taken down. But there are also already torrent-files avaiable, of which one is: http://btjunkie.org/torrent/JLU-Wiki-2010-10-14-rar/435886af444eb39fcacdb3bce1de47b1095f887dd31a
To be continued...
The SL Herald is now also beign threathened by Typepad to take down (parts of) their reporting the JLU wiki leak and publishing parts of it: http://foo.secondlifeherald.com/slh/2010/01/typepad-threatens-takedown-of-herald-justice-league-unlimited-expos%C3%A9.html
Seems that the DMCA claims by teh JLU are still working....the posts in the SLHerald got also 'cleaned out' now of the "copyrighted" material....
DMCA must be about the most abused law ever... the people that voted it have created a weapon of mass censorship, at least in the us...
I think it is more out of fear for legal action then any real possibility that something will ever happen. If people scream loud enough about how they will file complains, then they can bully oters into doing what they want easily.
It is a shame ... especially for news sources of any kind

Hehe, I could have known it...
Residents marked as griefers in the JLU Brainiac database. This category also contains information about griefers that is of interest to the League.

you'd better watch out...I am so dangerous
